Acupuncture which is a natural form of healing has the following benefits:
Qi can become blocked or depleted due to physical, emotional or environmental stresses causing pain, lack of energy, illness or a lowered immune system with constant low grade infections or allergies.
Following a detailed initial consultation including observation of the tongue and pulse Deirdre devises a treatment plan using such treatments as acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, and dietary and/or lifestyle advice as needed.
All appointments are totally private. The first appointment takes at least an hour but can be an hour and a half depending on details and history. Second and subsequent appointments are shorter usually about forty minutes, maybe an hour.

Deirdre Toohey is a former nurse qualified in General, Midwifery and Psychiatric nursing.
Deirdre’s core therapy is Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine graduating from the College of Integrative Acupuncture with A Licentiate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Over the years she has used the Ancient Principles of Five Element Acupuncture, Tungs Acupuncture and the Eight Principle Theories to diagnose and treat illness.
She has studied and gained considerable clinical experience under some of the finest masters in Beijing University of Chinese Medicine with clinical training in the Wangjing Hospital, Beijing Military Hospital and the China Japan Friendship Hospital, Beijing, China.
