Commonly Treated Conditions



Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture is used to treat a wide variety of conditions. The World Health Organisation has an approved list of conditions which respond well to Acupuncture and these include the following commonly treated conditions:

INFECTIONS: colds & flu, , weak immune system.
INTERNAL: allergies, asthma, high blood pressure, ulcers, colitis, indigestion, constipation, diarrhoea, vomiting, palpitations, ME. Diabetes, Headaches.
EXTERNAL: skin and hair problems, over-or underweight
EYE-EAR-NOSE-THROAT: tinnitus, earache, dizziness, sinusitis, sore throat, hay fever, eye problems.
MUSCULO-SKELETAL: back problems, arthritis, sciatica, neuralgia, frozen shoulders, migraine, tendonitis, sprains, stiff neck, Bell’s Palsy, tennis elbow, general pain.
GENITO-URINARY & REPRODUCTIVE: PMS, irregular period, painful periods, menopausal problems, cystitis, incontinence, pregnancy pre- and postnatal care (morning sickness, mastitis), infertility, delayed labour and pain.
MENTAL- EMOTIONAL: anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, tiredness, shock, grief
DETOX PROGRAMME: extremely effective to fight addictions (alcohol, tobacco, drugs, food).

Ear seeds, Cupping, Massage , Dietary and Lifestyle Advice and Moxibustion are all aspects of Chinese Medicine and may be included in your treatment if needed.

The number of treatments will vary depending on the condition being treated. Some acute conditions may only require one or two treatments. Chronic conditions generally require a course of 6 to 10 treatments over a period of weeks.

Treatments to boost immunity and maintain optimum health are required only occasionally. The rate of recovery can vary and the earlier a condition is treated the better.
